Bank account numbers are up to 17 digit numbers that identify your account at your bank or credit union.
How to find your account number
If you have a check book handy, you can look at the bottom middle of your check. It's the second set of digits, in between the routing number and check number - make sure you include any zeros at the beginning or end.
If you don’t have a check close by, you can also look for your bank account number in a few other places:
- Your bank’s website
- Your last bank statement
- By calling your bank’s local branch
